Homestead is 9-1 against Wapahani since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Spartans will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Raiders at 11:00 a.m.

Homestead saw some tournament action last Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Homestead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sheldon Heffelmire, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Wapahani never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Wes-Del.

Wapahani got a big performance out of Quentine James, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kayson Perdue, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Wapahani kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Wapahani back to even at 1-1. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Everything went Homestead's way against Wapahani when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Homestead made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
