Ethan Potts was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Kace Obriant was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Neuse Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-2 to American Leadership Academy-Johnston.

Neuse Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Candes, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Neuse Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Falls Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Neuse Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Falls Lake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322.
