Richard Montgomery waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Blair Blazers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rockets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Richard Montgomery won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-18.

Richard Montgomery was led to victory by Ana Djordjevic and Ellyn Kim. Djordjevic had ten digs and three aces, while Kim had 17 assists. Catie Chung also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Richard Montgomery was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Richard Montgomery's record now sits at 9-2. As for Blair, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Richard Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Einstein on the 26th. As for Blair, they will head out to take on Northwood at 6:30 p.m. on October 3.
