Basketball Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Templeton Eagles will jump right back in to play the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Templeton comes in on four and Lone Pine on five.

On Friday, Templeton wrapped up 2024 with a 59-44 victory over Bishop Union.

Meanwhile, Lone Pine took their game last Tuesday with ease, bagging an 80-46 win over Mammoth. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Lone Pine's win came from a few key players Templeton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Anthony Guerra, who posted 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Duran, who had nine points and four steals.

Lone Pine's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Templeton, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
