Basketball Game Preview: Brattleboro Bears vs. Hartford Hurricanes

Brattleboro and Hartford are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Brattleboro Bears will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hartford Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. Brattleboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.

Brattleboro is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Otter Valley on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Brattleboro was dealt a 73-46 defeat at the hands of Otter Valley. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-16.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dawson Wheeler, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Tabachnick, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Hartford beat Mount Anthony 70-58 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Hartford pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Brattleboro, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
