Basketball Game Preview: Calexico Bulldogs vs. Bishop Amat Lancers

The Calexico Bulldogs will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Bishop Amat Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calexico will be strutting in after a victory while Bishop Amat will be coming in after a defeat.

Calexico is headed out to face Bishop Amat after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 65-37 win over Shadow Hills. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 9, 2024 (when they won 64-22).

Calexico can attribute much of their success to Sabino Martinez, who posted 11 points and eight assists. That's the most assists Martinez has posted since back in December of 2024. Edgar Mendoza was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Bishop Amat ended up a good deal behind Arcadia on Wednesday and lost 71-53.
