Volleyball Game Preview: Phoebus Phantoms vs. Jamestown Eagles + How To Watch

The Phoebus Phantoms will square off against the Jamestown Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Phoebus is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Hampton 3-0. The Phantoms haven't had any issues with the Crabbers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

While Phoebus won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

If Churchland wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jamestown, they should've done a better job of containing Kira Van Deusen. The Eagles put the hurt on the Truckers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Van Deusen, who had 15 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Jamestown was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-8.

Phoebus' win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Jamestown, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 15-6.
