It was a good run, but San Ysidro unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Rock Academy Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Areese Moore paced San Ysidro's offense, picking up eight kills. Moore got some help from Asyiah Moore and her 13 assists. Asyiah also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leanne Sarsoza, racking up three apiece.

San Ysidro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Rock Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

San Ysidro will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southwest SD at 11:00 a.m. As for Rock Academy, they will take on Hilltop in a tournament on Saturday.
