Volleyball Recap: Portsmouth West Comes Up Short

Portsmouth West came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Webster Jeeps, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jeeps this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

South Webster found their leader in freshman Emma Campbell, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Campbell.

Portsmouth West has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for South Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Portsmouth West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Webster, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Lynchburg-Clay on the 25th.
