Bear River had won six straight games and Brooke Milligan did her part to make it seven on Friday. The Bruins walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Merced Bears with plenty of help from Milligan, who had 15 assists and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Bear River's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Merced, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Bear River and Merced will both be playing Green Valley the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Gators at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
