Volleyball Recap: Columbia Independent Comes Up Short

Columbia Independent came up short against the Linn Wildcats on Saturday and fell 2-0. Columbia Independent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading Linn to victory were Riley Kay and Kendra Robinson. Kay had 12 assists and two aces, while Robinson had five assists and four digs. That's the most assists Robinson has posted since back in September of 2024.

Columbia Independent's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Linn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Columbia Independent will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Fellowship at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Linn, they have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Hallsville on the 27th.
