Baseball Recap: Spring Hill Wins Going Away Against Culleoka

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Spring Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Culleoka Warriors as the Spring Hill Raiders made off with a 12-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Landon Reilly and Will McGlacken made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Reilly tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McGlacken pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. At bat, Reilly scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while McGlacken scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave McGlacken a new career-high in hits (two).

In other batting news, Gary Cox was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nolan Brister, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Spring Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Culleoka only posted an OBP of .263.

Spring Hill's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Spring Hill will face off against Summertown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Culleoka, they will square off against Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
