Having just played yesterday, the Dominguez Dons will get right back to it and host the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. On Thursday, Dominguez took their contest with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over Orange. Fans of the Dons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Port of Los Angeles kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Manual Arts by a score of 52-49.
Dominguez will need to focus on slowing down Junot Kovarik, one of several Port of Los Angeles players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Fulton, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.
Dominguez's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Port of Los Angeles, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1.
