Basketball Recap: Brillion Takes a Loss

Brillion lost against Freedom back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Brillion Lions fell 65-53 to the Freedom Irish. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Irish are ranked eighth).

Brillion's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Freedom, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brillion Lions take on the Chilton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oconto Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oconto Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
