Meanwhile, Chatham Central never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Seaforth 6-0. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Maddie Kaczmarczyk made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Kaczmarczyk was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chatham Central let Heidi Vicente Perez and Madalyn Holton run wild. Vicente Perez went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Holton went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleigh Warf, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Chatham Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Northwood has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Chatham Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .547. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
