Laconia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the St. Mary's Springs Ledgers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Ledgers: they've now won three in a row.

While Laconia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 27-25, 25-18.

Kensley McCauley paced Laconia's offense, picking up 14 kills. McCauley got some help from Gabby Pinno and her 16 assists. Pinno was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Laconia's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for St. Mary's Springs, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 14-19 record.

Laconia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against University School of Milwaukee on the 25th. St. Mary's Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
