Baseball Recap: Windsor Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Windsor was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Lutheran South Lancers by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Owls have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Windsor saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Scott, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Brody Green also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Scott wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lutheran South, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Windsor Owls duke it out with Jefferson Blue Jays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lutheran South, they will welcome Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Festus' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Lutheran South's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
