Two dominant backs in Josh Durant and Cole StPierre are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sheehan Titans will be playing at home against the Shelton Gaels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Sheehan is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cheshire just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 14-7 to the Rams. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Shelton played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 14-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Gaels as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Sheehan's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Shelton, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Sheehan has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 190.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Shelton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 154.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
