Football Recap: Warren's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Warren dropped to 5-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sotomayor WILDCATS. The Warriors lost against the WILDCATS in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-0 score last time.

As for Sotomayor, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games.

Chauncey Moon produced another solid performance rushing for 142 yards and one TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 77 yards and one touchdown. Haewood Anderson was another key player, rushing for 124 yards and one score.

Coincidentally, Warren and Sotomayor will both be playing Harlan the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the WILDCATS will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 6.
