Baseball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Perrysburg Yellow Jackets

For the second straight game, Northview will face off against Perrysburg. The Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northview will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

On Monday, Northview had just enough and edged out Perrysburg 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won six in a row.

Nick Schantz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Charlie Paulson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Sprenger, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Perrysburg's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Northview, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
