Basketball Recap: Corydon Central Starts Season with Victory Against Lanesville

Corydon Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Lanesville Eagles 47-22 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 54-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Paisley Teeter went supernova, putting up 18 points and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reese Withers, who posted 13 points and six steals.

Corydon Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Corydon Central has already played their next matchup, a 58-39 loss against Brownstown Central on the 8th. As for Lanesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-5 win against Rock Creek Academy on the 6th.
