Baseball Game Preview: Morenci Wildcats vs. San Miguel Vipers

The Morenci Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the San Miguel Vipers at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Morenci will be strutting in after a victory while San Miguel will be coming in after a loss.

Morenci came out on top against Desert Christian on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Wildcats never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Jaymz Guzzo was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MJ Aguilar, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, San Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to Bisbee.

San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Morenci, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
