Football Recap: ALA - Mesa North Comes Up Short

ALA - Mesa North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 39-7 loss at the hands of the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets.

Crew Germaine threw for 115 yards on 11 of 17 attempts. Thomas Godfrey was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.

Karlo Harris was his usual excellent self, rushing for 157 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries for Blue Ridge. Those 157 rushing yards gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tank Hamblin, who rushed for 107 yards and one score.

ALA - Mesa North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Blue Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

ALA - Mesa North has already played their next matchup, a 56-0 loss against Round Valley on the 31st. As for Blue Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-14 victory against Kingman on the 31st.
