Football Game Preview: Mason Comets vs. Fairfield Indians

The Mason Comets will face off against the Fairfield Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mason is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Sycamore: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Comets blew the Aviators out of the water with a 48-6 final score. The contest marked the Comets' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Fairfield owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took down Oak Hills 17-0.

The win made it two in a row for Mason and bumps their season record up to 5-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Fairfield, the win also got them back to even at 5-5.

Mason and Fairfield were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting on October 3rd, but Mason suffered an agonizing 14-13 defeat. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
