Cypress Bay is 10-0 against West Broward since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Cypress Bay Lightning will be taking part in a tournament against the West Broward Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

West Broward will be up against a hot Cypress Bay squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Cypress Bay never let Fort Lauderdale onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory last Thursday. Given the Lightning's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Flying L's are ranked 300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Broward had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Gladiators 8-0. The Bobcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

West Broward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six contests. As for Cypress Bay, they pushed their record up to 12-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Everything went Cypress Bay's way against West Broward in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Cypress Bay made off with a 5-0 victory. Will Cypress Bay repeat their success, or does West Broward have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
