Beaumont is a perfect 5-0 against Redlands East Valley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will face off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,048 yards in their previous games.
Beaumont is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Citrus Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cougars blew the Blackhawks out of the water with a 56-3 final score. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Jeremiah Duhu had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 246 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punching in a pair of scores on the ground. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Quillan Davis, who rushed for 156 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beaumont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Beaumont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Adam Palalay and Cameron Hazward. Palalay is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Redlands East Valley never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Yucaipa on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Thunderbirds, sneaking past 43-41. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Thunderbirds on their field since September 23, 2016.
Beaumont better keep an eye on Vitela Isaac. He was instrumental in Redlands East Valley's win, rushing for 160 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Isaac's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
Beaumont's record is now 7-2. As for Redlands East Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Thursday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Duhu and Isaac. Duhu just won't slow down this season and has thrown 20 touchdowns while averaging 213.8 passing yards per game. Isaac has been a dominant force too and has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 203.6 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Beaumont against Redlands East Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-8 victory. In that game, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 56-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
