Football Recap: Chaffey Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Chaffey dropped to 3-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 28-24 to the Rim of the World Fighting Scots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 31-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Although Chaffey took the loss, they still got scores from Justin Alcantara, Carlos Vasquez, and Andrew Rodriguez.

As for Rim of the World, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 33.5 points this season.

It was another big night for Tatum Ortiz, who rushed for 140 yards and three TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chaffey will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rowland at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Rim of the World, they will square off against Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
