Baseball Game Preview: Kewaskum Indians vs. Plymouth Panthers

For the second straight game, Kewaskum will face off against Plymouth. The Indians will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Kewaskum will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Plymouth on Tuesday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Kingston Grisolono made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Grisolono was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Andrew Reichert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liam Stoffel, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Kewaskum always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plymouth only posted an OBP of .333.

Having lost for the first time this season, Plymouth fell to 3-1. As for Kewaskum, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Kewaskum's way against Plymouth in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as Kewaskum made off with a 17-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
