Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pacifica Christian, Palo Verde Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Foothills Christian Knights by a score of 5-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Yellow Jackets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Christian Aguilar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Palo Verde Valley let Kole White and Aiden Cano run wild. White went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Cano scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most hits White has posted since back in March.

Palo Verde Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothills Christian only managed six hits.

Palo Verde Valley's record now sits at 10-6-1. As for Foothills Christian, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Palo Verde Valley has already played their next match, a 7-4 win against Gridley on the 3rd. As for Foothills Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Ramona on the 3rd.
