Football Game Preview: West Shamokin Wolves vs. Cambria Heights Highlanders + How To Watch

West Shamokin is 0-4 against Cambria Heights since September of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Wolves will welcome the Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Shamokin took a 32-point loss the last time they faced off against Conemaugh Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Blue Jays 22-20. The Wolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ryan Booher was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 41 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 109 yards and one touchdown. West Shamokin also got a significant boost from Christian Wilcox, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Meanwhile, Cambria Heights waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Wildcats 42-7. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won five contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Cambria Heights found their leader in sophomore Nolan Clawson, who rushed for 128 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Brayden DeArmitt was another key player, picking up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

West Shamokin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Cambria Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
