Baseball Recap: Benzie Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mason County Central on Thursday, Benzie Central came back down to earth. The Huskies lost 8-1 to the Frankfort Panthers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 two weeks ago.

Benzie Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Jenkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Benzie Central's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Frankfort, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Benzie Central will take on Traverse City West at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frankfort, they will face off against Marion at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
