Hamilton waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Nuview Bridge Knights 11-2. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.
Kaitlynn Barreto made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hamilton let Genesis Andrade and Laura Vega run wild. Andrade went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one triple, while Vega went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Vega has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Vargas, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
