Soccer Game Preview: Highlands Christian vs. Deerfield Beach

The Highlands Christian Knights will face off against the Deerfield Beach Bucks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Highlands Christian headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Avant Garde Academy let them put that streak behind them. The Knights were the clear victors by a 7-3 margin over the Sharks last Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deerfield Beach). Their defense stepped up to hand Stranahan a 7-0 shutout on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Deerfield Beach's offense was hitting Stranahan from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.

Deerfield Beach now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Highlands Christian, they moved to 5-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.
