Volleyball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Horizon Prep Lions

The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Horizon Prep Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Horizon Prep will be coming in after a loss.

St. Joseph Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Bayfront Charter. St. Joseph Academy blew past Bayfront Charter 3-0 on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-9, 25-18.

St. Joseph Academy found their leader in sophomore Max Pokholok, who had eight kills, five aces, and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Horizon Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to High Tech CV.

Horizon Prep actually scored more points across those four sets (93-90), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 27-25, 13-25, 25-23, 25-20.
