Recap: Mogadore Wildcats vs. Springfield Spartans
The Mogadore Wildcats gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Springfield out 47-45. That's another feather in the cap for Mogadore, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brooklyn Mcintyre was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 13 points along with 3 steals. Ari Tompkins was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Springfield's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kayla Gaspar, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hillyard, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Mogadore's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Mogadore will head out on the road to face off against Canton Central Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Springfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Field at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
