Westwood Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tripp Kirkland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Avery Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Kirkland is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Asher Baum, who posted six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Gainesville Christian Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-24 loss at the hands of First Christian.

Westwood Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Gainesville Christian Community, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Westwood Christian couldn't quite finish off Gainesville Christian Community in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 40-38. Can Westwood Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
