Baseball Game Preview: Boone County Rebels vs. Ludlow Panthers

The Boone County Rebels will head out to challenge the Ludlow Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Boone County is looking for their season's first win.

Boone County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Holy Cross by a score of 10-9 on Monday.

Mason Coughenour was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ben Inman, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Coughenour wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Boone County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Ludlow lost 11-1 to Owen County on Friday. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ludlow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miller Reed, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Boone County's record is now 0-5. As for Ludlow, their record is now 4-2.

Everything went Boone County's way against Ludlow in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Boone County made off with a 13-0 victory. Will Boone County repeat their success, or does Ludlow has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
