Soccer Recap: Penn Cambria Comes Up Short

Penn Cambria fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Somerset on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Penn Cambria of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Nick Marshall, who's now up to ten this season.

Penn Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Somerset, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Penn Cambria is set to challenge their familiar foe Bald Eagle Area at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Somerset will square off against rival Bedford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
