Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rittman last Tuesday, Northwestern came back down to earth. The Northwestern Huskies came up short against the Waynedale Golden Bears on Thursday, falling 55-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-24 back in December of 2024.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Waynedale, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Northwestern and Waynedale could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Northwestern will square off against Dalton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday down 343 places (640 vs. 297). Meanwhile, Waynedale (ranked 345th) will meet Chippewa (ranked 141st) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
