Volleyball Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

Appleton West lost against Kimberly back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Terrors fell 3-1 to the Papermakers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20.

Ian Van Hammond was the offensive standout of the game as he had 14 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Fiedorowicz, who had four digs and three aces.

Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kimberly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Appleton West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kaukauna at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Kimberly, they will face off against Madison West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
