Volleyball Recap: San Juan Takes a Loss

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Vacaville Christian Falcons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-19, 25-8.

Vacaville Christian was led to victory by Elena Vizcay and Leila McGuinness-Domke. Vizcay had 12 digs and one assist, while McGuinness-Domke hit 64.3% for nine kills and ten aces and six digs. Vizcay is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Madie Lindsay also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Vacaville Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, San Juan will face off against Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vacaville Christian, they will take on Colusa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
