JT Moreno turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Thursday. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Straughn is 4-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

Even though Moreno couldn't lead Straughn over New Brockton, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Moreno's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Tigers' three-game streak of wins on the road.
