Jackson-Reed has gone 8-2 against Maret recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will take on the Frogs at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jackson-Reed has four straight victories, Maret has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Jackson-Reed got the win against Ballou by a conclusive 19-1. Considering the Tigers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Keith Parham looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jackson-Reed got a massive performance out of Petar Dunn, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Dunn a new career-high. Tommy Gore was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Jackson-Reed was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .789. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Maret didn't have quite enough to beat St. Albans on Saturday and fell 2-1.
Devin Trendl was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Maret's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).
Jackson-Reed's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Maret, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Maret's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jackson-Reed hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. It's a different story for Maret, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Jackson-Reed's hitters?
Jackson-Reed was able to grind out a solid win over Maret in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
