Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs Triumphs

Baxter Springs won the last time they faced Oswego and Izzy Simpson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Indians on Saturday for which the team can thank Simpson, who had six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Baxter Springs took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11.

Baxter Springs' record now sits at 15-6. As for Oswego, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Coincidentally, Baxter Springs and Oswego will both be playing Lyndon the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Tigers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
