Volleyball Recap: Centerville Finds Home Court Redemption Against Wayne

There's no place like home for Centerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wayne Warriors on Thursday. The Elks haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Centerville was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.

Liam Sease paced Centerville's offense, picking up seven kills. Sease got some help from Michael Philip and his 15 assists. Caden Peterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Centerville's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. As for Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Centerville has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Walnut Hills on the 1st. As for Wayne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Middletown Christian on the 1st.
