Football Recap: Temecula Valley Takes a Loss

Temecula Valley lost against Great Oak back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Bears came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 36-13. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 104th).

Although Temecula Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Graham Allen and Brody Schumacher.

It was another big night for Trent Lux, who threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground for Great Oak. The dominant performance also gave Lux a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Carlos Carruego was Lux's top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and one TD.

Temecula Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Great Oak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Temecula Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-12 victory against Corona on the 30th. As for Great Oak, they have also already played their next game, a 49-14 win against King on the 30th.
