Soccer Recap: Santa Fe Triumphs

Santa Fe kept a clean sheet against La Mirada on Tuesday. They beat the Matadores by a goal, winning 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Santa Fe's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while La Mirada are ranked 575th).

Santa Fe's one-goal win came courtesy of Ethan Vizcarra, who's now up to three this season.

Santa Fe's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for La Mirada, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Santa Fe and Long Beach Poly will compete for holiday cheer at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. La Mirada will take on Brea Olinda in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. La Mirada's defense better be ready for this one: Brea Olinda have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
