Softball Recap: Bowler/Gresham Community Takes a Loss

While it was Bowler/Gresham Community who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Marion who put up more. The Panthers came up short against the Mustangs, falling 15-4. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lizzy May made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. May is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessa Hartleben, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bowler/Gresham Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Marion, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Bowler/Gresham Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marion, they will challenge White Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
