Softball Recap: Culver City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lawndale on Tuesday, Culver City came back down to earth. The Culver City Centaurs lost 8-2 to the Simi Valley Pioneers on Wednesday.

Culver City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xochil Romero, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Culver City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Simi Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Culver City and Simi Valley will both be playing Piedra Vista the next time they take the field. Simi Valley will head out to face Piedra Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Culver City will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
