Volleyball Game Preview: Boone Central Cardinals vs. Homer Knights

The Boone Central Cardinals will take on the Homer Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Boone Central has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Homer will come in with three straight victories.

Boone Central's tournament run continued when they took on Wayne on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2.

Despite the defeat, Boone Central had strong showings from Tresdyn Stephens, who had 27 digs, and Brooklyn Primrose, who had 27 assists and nine digs. With that strong performance, Primrose is now averaging an impressive 12 assists per game.

Meanwhile, Homer hadn't done well against Wakefield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Knights walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans.

Homer easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11.

Boone Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Homer, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
